What the hell was that. Not mad at Rupp. Just what the hell.

Problem is that Ventolin's unfounded and ridiculous predictions have gotten people pumped up. Disappointment follows inevitably.

I'd say he's in 12:53 shape, but this race will start off tactical and he'll end up w/ a 13:03

Galen's still gonna be somewhat tired from PRE and won't be ready for a fast time til late June early July. I'll say best possible scenario 12:58 in a 100% perfect scenario. I think Galen runs 13:02-13:05 though.
13:03.35, looks like I was pretty accurate on my guess.
It's hard to get too upset about a 13:03 with a ~4 flat last mile

Not really. Those predictions are contingent on absurdly perfect conditions, which essentially never happen.
You have to have to right race for a good time, so no one should be disappointed by this. 3rd place is one of his best showings ever, and the time was fine considering 7:58 at 3k.
I agree that Rupp did well. The times were not that great.Merga 13:29
and Gebremeskel 13:09 are completely off shell.

Yea Gebremeskel does not seem to be on top of his game. Rop isn't either after soloing 12:59 and running 12:51.
