You mean I'm being selective in that I picked other high profile athletes with OG/WC experience/medals but have one or two specialized events? They get criticized its ok, but how dare you lightly criticize an Oregon decathlete athlete's mediocre time...
The actual irritant is that a decathlete shows up to literally any event and sh*ts a time (and it wouldn't matter what it was) and suddenly its an amazing performance. I mean wow, its like no one else could do that either. He finished second too btw and is only ranked 9th in the world.
Decathletes are so much more amazing than us regular one event athletes. I mean they do 10 events! Thats alot!
1) What does Oregon have to do with anything I said?
2) It's not his main event
3) It's more impressive than many of his multi events
4) he runs no top world class times in any event, why would I be harsh on him for this one?
5) What is your obsession with bashing a decathlete?
6) it's early June. He'll get faster, his prs suggest he will.
7) It's all about progress, people care about him because he's the best decathlete in the world. Every PR he sets is newsworthy.
8) I'm not excited by this time, just excited he's improving. As i said I'd be equally excited with a 53 foot SP that an average D1 thrower could do, because it's progress
