Pretty pathetic running. Derrick's group gave deference to the Africans just because they were african. Let a gap appear even when the pacers were running the pace they wanted to dip under 13:00.
They showed an attitude of "them and then us". No confidence that they are in fact elite runners that belong in the front selection.
what happen to Cam Levins?
mfw Galen Rupp is the best distance runner we have.
That 800 pissed me off. Solomon hyped up that race as an American record attempt and comes in last without going for it at all.
Yeah it really is a bummer that we have a guy only running 26.44
Rupp's second 5k split from last night would have been 2nd american time today, wow.
Not sure why but that was tough watching Rudisha get beat.
Brave run by Rudisha. He's got some ways to go and I don't think he can make the Kenyan commonwealth team yet. Amos is awesome and way better than Aman. Don't know what happened with Solomon though.
Coming back from a yearlong injury, Rudisha is allowed to lose some races this being one. He is only human but a brave one in that he did not avoid the competition. He is going to be running sub 1:42 before the season ends but Amos has to be a serious threat to his throne. Aman is reactionary and therefore is not a strong opponent when Rudisha is in top shape.

Soulaman!
Fastest mile ever run in the US by over 1 second.
Puts Sebastian Coe out of the top-10 all-time - by 1/100s.
Souleiman with the Diamond League record, too!
Kiprop runs disastrously, which seems to happen every year. Solid run by Wote beating Kiplagat rather convincingly.
What can I say.... No post race interview for Solomon. He ate some humble pie today but will come back later this summer. Some incredibly fast early season performances in the 400 and mile though.
Daniel Kipchirchir Komen ran 3'48"28 a few years ago. So I guess you mean close to 1 second.
