Nah man take up to 4 weeks to build up to 60 mpw then repeat 3 weeks at 60 and 1 week at 50 (Recovery) til the season starts.
60 mile weeks: 8-10-12-8-10-12-rest (8 mile run Monday, 10 mile run Tuesday, etc)
50 mile weeks: 6-8-10-6-8-12-rest
It's summer, run once a day 1st thing in the morning and just chill the rest of the day. Have some fun. My best summers were running in the morning then hanging with friends all day and do really stupid fun crap. And then with a bunch of 8-12 mile runs under my belt I was in beast shape for the xc season. It works. Plus you have Sundays to sleep in and recover.

Recover from getting your ass beat by someone who listens to a 2:10 marathoner, a guy who came from D3 to make D1 all-american in one of the fastest NCAA XC championships ever.
