The above comment, if nothing else, shows the guy thinks an awful lot about booze. Also, if that is his estimate, he is probably sneaking a few more in there that he doesn't mention.

Guys, this is getting way out of hand. I drink one or two glasses a night, that's it. I typically don't even drink any alcohol nights before I race. I do not "sneak" any drinking. My wife sees everything I do.I do go three or four days here and there where I don't frink any alcohol at all. I don't crave it, I just enjoy a glass of wine at dinner, and typically have one after while watching TV. If I made this sound like I'm worried about my alcohol consumption, then I was not claer. But, I don't see that in my original post. The issue was more about if I quit drinking for a long period, would that A) help my weight and B) my performance, knowing I'm not really competitive anymore anyway etc. and C) my weight gain overall(the way I look in the mirror) after a recent injury that restricted my exercise for a long period.
