I'm glad this thread got started. I was just thinking "what steps should people do about this"
Reporting on something does not change anything.
Of course I'd like the word to get out, but just tweeting at USATF won't change anything. If we just tweet and facebook about it we feel good about ourselves but that's about it. I've seen a few people who have CCd me on emails.
Changing the environment at USATF isn't going to be easy.
I agree with you on this, and research backs your contentions about posting and tweeting etc. In fact research shows that emails and even that typed or printed letters are not taken as seriously as Handwritten Letters.
Your problem, seriously, is that you have created such a cesspool here with the forum, that elite athletes appreciate the news, but think you are asshles for how you have stewarded an apesht message board that makes the sport look bad.
I'll give you an example. If I (or anyone) anonymous posted a thread tonight saying that the inside word was that Robbie Andrews had tested positive after his relay in the Bahamas today -- you and I both know you or your "moderators," would delete the thread, because you like Robbie Andrews.
Yet, a completely hate based baked up piece of sht thread claiming Matthew Centrowitz had a positive test, some months back, that hadn't been announced yet either -- just like Robbie Andrews imaginary positive test from today, hasn't been announced yet either -- you fckwits allowed to stay up.
You allowed this after MC's agent contacted you and told you that the "report," was not fact based, and that it was a baked up non-good faith rumor that was in Fact 100% false.
And to make it worse,
You or your idiot brother write some bullsht prejudiced, hate based, jealously against Nike / whatever dishonest justification for why you were going to "allow" the libelous thread against Centrowitz to stand.
So an innocent dude has to tweet out that the rumor is untrue.
I am sure you two twin jerkoffs wet your pants with circle jerk glee over the hits you got on that thread. You know what most of the athletes, coaches, and insiders who give a real sht about the sport were thinking? Fck you and your moron message board nuts.
This portion of your site has ZERO VERACITY. Numerous athletes, coaches, and agents, see you two as a couple of screwed in the head Cranks, because of what you allow on this side of your site -- and the fact that you take part in it -- and have admitted trolling here yourselves.
Track fans are so rare, and coverage so rare, that people appreciate the news and analysis -- but you and the ilk you work with are thought of a necessary evil that people put up with. Sure, you snag a few cynical elite runners, but in over a decade, none of your conspiracy theories/witch hunts has proven anything.
Still looking for that inside source with the good on Jos Hermans doping his athletes? --Search your archives, douche bag, great reporting. Christian Hesche(sp) has outed more dopers that you.
Months ago, when I advocated that you create a section of your site for fans to write about their concerns for clean sport to various federations -- you guys -- with all your supposed fcking care about clean athletes -- deleted a thread that offered no more than quick link ready access for how real fans could write any federation and express their concerns.
WTF?
You think you give a crap about clean track and field. Where is your resource page for how fans can take action?
--I provided it for you, and out of embarrassment you fckwits deleted it.
Essentially, research shows that nothing changes unless either the athletes change it, or fans write...it looks like based on research, Hand Written letters.
We all know the questions the past year plus around Jamaica's testing entity, and Kenya's as well, you barely report on that, and yet jerk yourself self congratulatory sodas for libeling Centrowitz.
The fact that you are not intelligent enough to provide a "How Fans Can Support Clean Athletics" tab or page on your website -- shows you for the witch hunt aholes you are.
Present solutions or shut up. I presented solutions, and you aholes deleted the thread.
Your bitching about something like this now -- is disingenuous beyond belief.
Present solutions -- or shut the fck up.
Are you really so stupid that you have to ask the question "what can fans do?" The subset of options is finite. Start a link/page on your website showing fans where they can report or express their concern. Advise they write by hand.
It's all pretty pointless now, because look at all the names/handles/people, who were here for Berlin, and have now stopped posting on your site.
There's no way you twins have IQ's over 100.
