I concur.
People said that Rudisha wouldn't break the WR. He did.
Then, they said that he wouldn't run under 1:41. He did.
Then, they said that he cannot run under 100 seconds. He most probably will prove them wrong.
Kiprop can break the WR in the next two years. They way he moved from the field in the last 50 metres was just too convincing. Great finish!
In Doha, Kiprop ran perhaps the smartest race of his career. From the gun he stayed focused like a man on a mission and winning was in not in doubt in his mind but what time he would run. His aim was to stay on the pacers' heels all the way till they drop out. Ayanleh, however, jumped ahead of him and kept him separated from the pacers. That kind of made Kiprop off pace a little. Expect a 3'28 in Rome and even faster times in subsequent races. I see him getting to 3'26 even before Monaco. If he stays healthy, at least the Kenyan record (3'26"34) will fall most likely in Monaco but before this season is over.
He could only manage 3:36 on a dirt track

With no international engagement in 2014, Asbel Kiprop needs to go for the world record this year.
He can do it if he puts his mind to it. He is in superb form and the fact that about five other guys are on fire too lends it more possibility. They would push him all the way.
At least this is something we can ALL AGREE ON here on LET'S RUN.
I know you all agree with me.
World Record attempt gets interesting by the day as Caleb Mwangangi Ndiku jumps into the bandwagon!
