Good luck getting any white free agents to sign with the Hornets now. Just shot himself in the foot.

Lol.
F-ing idiots. Read the whole article, not just the garbage from the OP. Quote from the author:
"Media are focused on comments Michael Jordan made about race which appear in my book. He made those comments years ago, talking of his youth"
The real question is why don't all black people hate white people.
Haha, the race baiters are really struggling this week if they are resorting to trying to stir up this story.
Note that Tadpole used the pathetic conservative calling card, "if", because they don't have actual examples to support their claim. "If MJ had said this",."If the races were reversed", etc.

Note the moron Mofong that isn't intelligent enough to determine the theme of this thread.
Hint; Check out the ops name
It's not a double standard buddy. Keep trying. Or just make up stories on how if a black person said what sterling did it would be swept under the rug. You know, because you can't point to actual stories.
Not sure why this story didn't mention it, but Jordan says in the book that it was his mother who encouraged him not to hate white people . . .
"So I threw a soda at her," Jordan says in the book. "I was really rebelling. I considered myself a racist at the time. Basically, I was against all white people."
It was after that incident that Jordan's mother convinced him that he could not go through life consumed by racial hatred.

You really think black people haven't made racist actions as well? Wow
Jay Z wore an anti-white necklace that symbolizes that whites are devils & ALL blacks are a superior race.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2598174/Jay-Z-causes-controversy-wearing-medallion-group-believe-whites-wicked-weak.htmlDon't be blind. Racism is everywhere. Even if Oprah got her wish & all old white people died, racism would still exist.

Don't be daft, of course there are black people who are racist - plenty of them - and I didn't say otherwise. I said that this MJ story is not an example of a double standard. I went on to comment that too often conservatives use made up examples (see Tadpole) to claim double standards instead of actual stories like the Jay Z one you linked, which is really comical that you think that Jay Z picked out an accessory to wear because of its anti-white symbolism.
His new wife is white and infant twin daughters are white. I guess it depends on the white person.
you win the Libtard of the thread award bud

Is that unfair? Do you think the black men get an easy ride thru life in this country because they're allowed to drop the N-bomb? Do you feel like you've been dealt a harsher set of cards in this life because you're not allowed to use the N word? Imagine where you might have got to in life had you not been so unreasonably restricted.
Also: do you WANT to use the N word? Is that a real desire of yours, or are just bitching about nothing?
Al Not So Sharton wrote:Is that why black athletes can use the N-word against each other in locker rooms? That is still common today, so racism will never end until that type of nonsense ends.
Mofu, ever hear of the term "hypothetical situation"?
Since you admit there are both black and white racists; What IF, IF, IF, MJ had made the same exact request of his GF that Sterling made in private would MJ be banned from his own team and forced to sell or not?
I ask this not because I'm consevative leaning but because this thread is about double standards. You seem to suggest that there is no double standard.
So do you believe there's a double standard between blacks and whites when it comes to racist comments?

And he's calling you out because this is an invented situation THAT HASN'T HAPPENED! I have no idea what would happen to MJ. It's not a double standard if you just confabulated the whole situation in your head.

What if there were no hypothetical situations?

MJ's comment was published. THAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED. No repercussions. The NBA has decreed that your past CAN BE HELD against you. Rather than actions speak louder than words, now words speak louder than actions.
MJ is just a typical black person. I cross to the other side of the street when I see people like him.
