Why are you reading runners world? Even worse, you are reading the paper copy. You slow bro?

well this place is always misbehaving.
That Sterling guy would look like a light weight here.
hey mundo do corredor, cheiro a minha bunda, então polegar seu cu
It's not online.
That's actually a quite interesting article.
Did you see where Lauren Fleshman said you can even run a 5k in JORTS without chafing?
I ran 32 miles in jorts today with no chafing!!
Besides RW, I also read Running Times, Marathon & Beyond, and TrailRunner magazine. I run long, short, fast, slow, trails, treadmill, roads, and track.
Not sure what the complaint is here. I thought you guys were PROUD of your notoriously bad behavior.
aww, have we been naughty?
Who cares what RW thinks? They're a bunch of PC pansies, about as bad as GH at TaFNews. Then again, no one is as big a coward as GH. He is a complete PC gelding. Gutless. A eunuch.
The RW twitter feed actually tells what follows is 'HUMOUR' either as they're so desperate not to offend or because it's so unfunny.

No doubt it's a poor attempt at a buffer, since it's likely the testosterone challenged crew at RW is frightened of this board.
Apparently it's a quote from Steve Soprano -- Runnersworld didn't think it, "letsrun.com" said it.

let's run message boards are really bad. Geez.
RunnersWorld is a joke. I honestly don't understand how anyone can go through more than three issues without totally dismissing it from then onward.

I know it's the only reason I come here.
So? This message board IS shit.
notorious = widely read
Was it the April 1 issue? I bet it was.b
Ohhhh. Aren't you the smart one.

It's not in quotes so it's not a direct quote. I definitely never said the words "notoriously poor-message board behavior", but I'm sure I said something to that effect. You guys aren't new here, someone is always trolling or pissed off about something and like any website, we get some complaint emails. Big deal, it's not "bashing".
Anyway, the author of the article, Michael Heald, isn't even a RunnersWorld employee (not that it'd be a bad thing if he was). He works freelance and is the author of what I feel is one of the best running articles I've ever read: The Ian Dobson/Julia Lucas piece from after the 2012 Trials called "It Should Be Mathematical". QOD here:
http://www.letsrun.com//2012/homepage0815.phpHe likes LetsRun a lot and was not bashing us at all in this article. I think he wrote a very good piece, but I'm biased of course because it's about people I know personally and I'm in it. If it comes out online eventually I'm sure we'll put a link up to it.
I canceled my subscription when they fired Joe Henderson. JW was good decades ago, when it was somewhat edgy. The only positive thing I can say about its endless string of advice stories about how to run a 5K adorned in expensive gear is that they recently quoted me in an article! There is something creepy about their little group of editors. But, let's face it, JW is the face of US running today. I think I remember a survey they did fairly recently indicating that their average reader ran 3 or 4 days a week. I read it at the gym. My wife asked me whether I was watching porn on my phone, and I said I was reading the LR message board. She groaned, and rolled her eyes!
