Is there any truth to the rumor that the Nike Pegasus 31 will have a 8mm heel to toe diff? If that is the case will it change the way you feel about the Pegasus?

According to this blurry image, the offset will be 10mm:

I doubt most people will notice the difference.
That was a blurry image....I couldn't see where they mentioned offset at all.
I found it just fine. It's in grey print, right under the initial description in the upper left section of the picture.
When is the release date for this shoe? I NEED IT!
Yeah and it will also cost 150 dollars.
Now I see the reference to a 10mm offset. I certainly hope it's not a $150.00 shoe. If that's the case I'll have to reconsider my allegiance to the Pegasus. Any suggestions about a neutral daily trainer with an offset of 8 to 10mm?
It is staying at its $100 price.
I just ran 7 for the first time in Vomero 8. It was very smooth and comfortable.
I have been wearing Mizuno Wave Rider and Creation (which are expensive) with really good results. I like the 10 mm due to Achilles issues.
Was this your first time running in the Vomero? Have you worn the Pegasus before? and how do they compare if you have? Glad to hear the Pegasus is staying at $100.00.

Take this for what it's worth but I was told the the Vomero is going to/does have a similar feel to what the Pegasus felt like prior to the 31. While the Pegasus will not have the same feel as it did in the past.
Which, to me, would be a bummer as I've enjoyed the Pegasus recently.
Sorry, I haven't worn Pegasus in a few years. I always felt they were too stiff. I have friends that like you, are loyal to them.
I've had the Vomeros during the winter and used them on the tread so today was the first time on the road.
Good luck.

Stiff? The 29's and 30's are probably the most flexible cushioned trainers I have ever run in.
Vomero 8, according to Running Warehouse, has a thinner midsole than the Peg 30. I hope the 31 is like a zoom elite with a cushlon midsole. That would be the tits.
A friend who is wear testing them for his running store (their Nike guy dropped off a couple of sample pairs) says the Pegasus 31 is lighter and more flexible than the Pegasus 30. From his description, it's not quite a performance trainer, but you could think of it as an Elite with a little more protection.
I've worn every model of Pegasus since their reintroduction in 2000. I really liked the direction Nike went with the 29 and 30 (more flexible, more comfortable) and am looking forward to the 31.
The 27, 28, and 29 were good investments. I'm currently switching between an old pair of 29s and 30s right now, and the 30s were definitely a step in the wrong direction. Less flexible than earlier versions and they run smaller as well. Hopefully the 31s get the series back on track, although I'm not sure how I feel about that design.
Nike seems to do a fantastic job of destroying good shoes. I was a huge Vomero fan until the 5s came out. The cushioning was way too much for a serious runner.
Interesting you found the 30 less flexible than the 29. They have the exact same midsole/outsole. No change whatsoever, even in the formulation of the Cushlon in the midsole. The upper changed, but it's not like they added stiff overlays or anything.
I did find the 30 to be more narrow than the 29. I liked this because I found the 29 a little bit too wide, but I could wear both models with no problem.
I share your thoughts on the Vomero, preferring the feel before the 5th model but feel exactly the opposite on the Pegasus. The switch to nothing but Cushlon for the forefoot of the 27 ruined the shoe for me, it just hasn't been substantial enough for me. Sure its cushioned but with no density my foot feels like it falls right through it for a kind of awkward feeling.
I miss the days of Phylon and full-length traditional air.
As a ruler, my go to shoes right now are the elite and terra kiger.
Gonna bump this as the new pegasus is coming out in a week.
Wanted to check and see if anybody else had gotten their hands on a pair a little early and had anything to say about it.
The Peg 31 is awesome! Great upper, super comfortable overall.
