makhloufi is the most hateful athlete in the world, most of the meet directors hate him, so are the athletes. cant wait to see who is his new coach going be. The true is aden dropped him and told him its time for you to find a new coach.

I have to say, there is some serious question about this Makhloufi cat. Wasn't there a high profile american elite that mentioned something about Leo getting bumped up to gold at some point, insinuating that american athletes felt he was dirty and would get caught sooner or later?

It would NOT be a wise choice for NOP to take on this cat with the speculation that already surrounds them. I think it would be the dumbest move they could make, and I would start to become suspicious.

I think it was none other than Asbel MF Kiprop who said that.

No way in heck is makh going to NOP. Never. Not going to happen. It would be like USATF hiring drug cheats for their coaching staff at a world meet. They would never do that, and Al Sal would never take in such a suspiciuos character.

The man who gave Tyson Gay the testosterone creme (Jon Drummond) is chairman of the USATF Athletes Advisory Committee. Drummond was USATF's relay coach.

well drummond never tested positive or served a suspension, right? is that even true?

I'm talking an athlete who served a drugs suspension - USATF wouldn't hire someone like that for the world team staff. never.

This is common knowledge now. Drummond is still Chairman of the AAC with no disciplinary action filed as far as I know.

Asbel was made because he himself had to fake injury when his coaches warned him that he wouldn't be able to pass the post-race drug test if he nabbed a medal. Hence his listless performance. Pot calling the kettle black.

Seriously though, if I had to bet my next pay check on two high profile male distance runners (meaning medal contenders) being dirty over the past 5 years I think Sergio Sanchez and Makhloufi would be my bets. Sure there may be others, but I'm going with what I think the safest bets are.

Asbel had an injury already at the previous meet.

If this clown ever runs another world class time or performs well at a big event I would sh$t myself. He was even more obviously doped than our old friend Rashid Ramzi - what happened in London was disgusting and sad for the sport - just as it was in Beijing...

Is there any remaining chance that he could be busted for the '12 Olympics?

I screamed "Doper!" at the TV in front of my extended family when both he and the Turkish woman won. I'd love to be right again - oh, and to have Manzano get his gold - but I fear it's too long gone.

I would bet that he was dirty - but that maybe it was not all of his choice. Look what Aden is doing to that Dibaba girl, it is a joke. I think Makhloufi is just getting away

Makh and ASal make a good pair because they both know how to make remarkable improvements

Why does he need a new coach? These are world-class athletes - can't they coach themselves? Are these people so ill-informed about training methodology and how their own bodies respond to training that they can't design a program for themselves? They aren't ignorant HS or College athletes (the latter being on scholarship means they have to follow their coach's program, even if that person is an idiot).

Having a Manager to get you into races is one thing - that is a time-consuming task that has nothing to do with training. Coaches are not entirely necessary, unless one believes that you can only progress because of your training group - connected to a coach - another myth of the weak-minded.
