so my xc/track coach is now requiring that all members of the xc and track team run with ankel weights on at every practice. he also suggests that we wear them around school all day, but it is REQUIRED that we run with them during practice time. he says this will build strength in our legs and then when we race we wont have them on, and therefore we it will feel lighter and we will be faster. heres the sad part. any runner who shows up to practice without wearing ankel weights is immediately kicked off the team.
