Just collecting some data points here.
3 parts, summed up=your stress pts:
1. Volume-distance ran that week (in miles)
2. Intensity-each run/workout gets a 1-10 intensity rating:
1-near zero effort
2-recovery pace
3-easy pace
4-moderate (or maybe easy+strides)
5-moderately hard (or maybe easy+gym session)
6-fairly hard (hard aerobic threshold run, moderate run+hill sprints)
7-typical tempo run, moderate intervals, etc
8-hard intervals, hills, maybe hard MP long run. typical track workouts for most people.
9-really tough workout, memorably difficult
10-the kind of workout you might do a couple times a year.
3. # of sessions/week x5
1+2+3=??
Example:
Monday am easy 5 miles (3) pm easy 5 miles+10 strides (4)
Tuesday pm 2mi warmup, 10x400m at mile pace with 2min rec 2mi cd (8)
Wednesday am 4mi recovery (2) pm 10mi moderately hard (5)
Thursday am 5mi easy+gym (5)
Friday am 10x600m hills (7) pm easy 5mi (3)
Saturday am 5mi easy (3) pm 5mi recovery (2)
Sunday am 15mi with last 5 moderately hard (5)
~73 miles
47 intensity pts
11 sessionsx5=55pts
=
175stress pts for this example.
I've got 1 week barely over 200. Can anyone top that?
