Many of the NOP/Farah/AlSal threads have magically disappeared. Fanboys have been very busy hitting the report post button on every comment made. Only positive comments are allowed. Negative comments are naughty and must be evaporated. Neutral comments are questionable and must also be zapped.
He should stick with eharmony.
He can make a lot of money at London, but in my view, when you are dominating on the track and have a great shot at rewriting the distance record books there, you need to do it. When he was in 3:28.81 shape last year, he should have attacked the 3k/5k/10k records after World's, and needs to do that this year before his chance is lost. He has not proven himself to be superior at half marathon and above (having not yet run a marathon) at this point.
yep

Hes never run a marathon so there is nowhere near enough information to say
Thre is nothing about him that leads us to believe he wont be successful at the marathon, and he'll get a huge paday in London so as 1 marathon wont do anything to damage his future prospects on the track, the only thing that can be said with any confidence is running London this year is a smart move
after that he and his team can evaluate his future career path

This makes absolutely no sense. You might as well have typed
"Thre is nothing about him that leads us to believe he wont be successful at the 800m and shorter distances."

Except that Farah has run the 800m with a PR of 1:48.x which isn't going to get him very far professionally.

Um, other than this year with no WC or Oly, isn't that what he's already doing?

Hes a 3 time gold medalist (wc/Olympics) at 10,000 with a 26:46 PR, a small physique and efficient form
certainly not enough to guarantee success at the marathon but he definitely fits the mold...if theyre offering him a pay day why not give it a shot?
few 120 pound guys are great at the 800 or shorter distances
you failing to comprehend it is not the same as it not making sense...
You most certainly are a monkey typing. A few years ago, Farah and Rupp were slow in the 1500 and mile. Suddenly, success. Your PR limit on Farah proves would have told him to stop the 1500m long ago. The same goes for Rupp. Dumb, dumb, dumb...on your part.

Exactly how do you know how efficient his form is?
I don't know about Farah but you should stick to a single username Ventolin
his passing out incident probably resulted from those drugs screwing with his system

Its an eyeball test and hardly scientific but certainly not anywhere close to the most important part of my post...the point of my post is that without reason to believe there is little chance farah will be successful at the marathon and with the pay day they are offering, it is undoubtedly the right move for farah to give the marathon a shot this year...
Im not saying I think farah will break the world record (II don't) or even win (I don't) but I think there is no reason to believe he wont be able to make a successful transition to a world class marathoner if that is the path he chooses

do you really feel this added something to the conversation?
+1 but I still think Mo has enough talent to tackle 1/2 Marathons
considering he's run 3:28 for the 1500 just last year, I'd say he should stick to the track for a few more years. Who knows, with his great genetics, he may be someone who has longevity like Lagat.
He is making a mistake going to the Marathon!
It's a totally different type of runner that excels at that distance.
He was doing just fine on the track too.

This time the retarded drug accusation came already on the first page of the thread.
