Am finally feeling good again after Hood To Coast! Jeez, that race really beat the heck out of me. Just in time, too, with Paso Robles coming up next week!
Hope to see lots of you there!
10.3 mile very hilly AT run in 60:42. Gearing up for Portland xc nationals.
Sat am I pretty much felt my age in a 8k XC race. Physically tired, Mentally not there. Half way through, I took a "mulligan" and decided to try again in a couple of weeks.
Sun 15 miler, felt better.
80 week
Some minor surgery on Monday and my week total is zero. I was hoping for a couple of short runs this weekend but I am recovering at a slower pace than I expected.
Good luck everyone.
Sat.: 20 x 400m with 60 sec. recovery, nonstop. Avg. 95
Sun.: 15 miles on roads with friends.
First time to try 20 x 400m, just wanted to finish. Good workout, plan to step down times.
Saturday: 16 x 30 sec grass intervals. First "speed" workout since the beginning of the month.
Sunday: 1hr. 15 min easy
Runnerbabe: Did you begin a post a month ago or so asking for recommendations for an artificial leg that can be used for running? I have a lead for you if you are still interested. Please post your e-mail address and I'll send you the info.
7 weeks of calf problems...
For the weekend, 0 runs, 0 miles
For the week, 1 run, 3 miles
Sat: off
Sun: 7 moderate
37 for the week, highest in 16 weeks
Been out of the loop for awhile, how is the achilles OMBTS?
OK, I just got off the revoked list after being banned again
(about the third or fourth time). Am I that obnoxious, or
just unlucky? Wejo says it was probably an accident. I want to thank him for getting me unbanned. It's not much fun just lurking on here.
As for the weekend:
Sat. 4 easy on flat trails, preparing for:
Sun. 5K cross country race at Van Cortlandt Park in NY
My first XC race of the season, and a PW by a lot!
Oh well, it was fun to be out there running hard on
a beautiful fall (almost) day.
8 miles total with warmup and cooldown
I suppose I should be thankful to be running pain-free again and posting on Letsrun!
Will..I ran 3 times this past week, only 3 miles..but felt ok...ran 3 today then biked 15 ..windy...I will try and run a little more this week and see how it goes...My Redskins gave the game away today....unreal weather..sunny and a high of 70
Thanks, 2lapmaster. I'd appreciate any info you have.

Steady week after the screaming down hill 8km I ran last Saturday. 50 miles total with a couple of solid speed work outs in there and only 10 for my long run down from 14.
Heading to Cali for Masters 10km Nationals in Paso Robles next Sunday so lots of leg turn over this coming week from my Coach. Very cool that you are feeling good enough to run OMBTS, I wish you all the best..............
Most athletes requiring a prosthesis leg for running are made by Ossur.
I'm pretty pumped up about my 1/2 Marathon PR today. I ran the Chicago Half in 1:16:33, winnning the masters division.
Rock on Racer thats a great time, you have to be pleased with that :O)

Wow, wish I were on the west coast to connect with some of you guys and gals. Anyone else plan on doing a lot of cross country this fall?
Definitely say 'hi'! I'll be wearing the red and white (mostly red) of Team Runners High. That, baldness, and an earring should make me easy to pick out. See you there!
