so, yesterday I randomly decided I want to do a spring marathon after all (in 2 months), after months of telling myself I wasn't going to, and barely running at all. here's a rough timeline:
1. late august (2013): marathon, went fairly well
2. september to late november: recovery, really slow build back to around 75mpw by the last week of november
3. december: a couple weeks in the 50's, then start to get really lazy (lot of factors in play)
4. mid-december to late feb: around 30-45 miles a week every week, a couple even lower
5. early march: suddenly re-inspired, want to train for a marathon that is only in two months
how much slower than my peak fitness should I expect to be if I do this? anyone done something similar or know someone who has? to be fair, I plan/hope to do a relatively quick build, and be doing around 80mpw and workouts within a couple of weeks.
