Like buttons are easily abused.

Agreed
They want to keep the barrier to post as low as possible. As soon as you require an extra step for new people to join, fewer do. But some kind of voting system to highlight the good and weed out the bad posts would go a long way

That's because it's not even wrong.

Or, because the whole rumor and thread are disgusting and absurd.
+1 for a like/up button.

I'm close enough to the Centro family that I could probably reach out and get some information on the matter. I respect them enough not to bother them with rumors and innuendo. They will deal with it as they see appropriate.
EVEN IF I did reach out, and I did hear, I would feel NO NEED to come on here and fight their fight for them.
If someone makes a baseless accusation, it's upon them to substantiate it. I don't have a problem with this thread staying up. Matt's a tough a boy. He'll be OK. But I think it's absolutely preposterous to think that the fact that no one outs themselves to defend him is evidence of anything.
Until ACTUAL FACTS are presented, it doesn't matter what anyone says, anonymous or not, UNLESS they are saying something that can be substantiated.
GREAT post, seriously.

For once we agree, Eric.

Some do and recent case findings and precedents are requiring companies to hand over ip addresses and identities.
It is only a matter of time before a damages suit breaks through and wins (which has happened) a monetary award and it sticks (it was tossed on appeal).
Several challenges to the internet law have been succeeding in the past few years.

I have a couple simple questions for Centro that would end this thread?
1. Did USADA or WADA find anything that they see as unusual in your drug test?
2. Are you (or your representatives) currently fighting a finding of USADA or WADA?
I believe that a YES answer to either of these questions is why this thread exists. All denials have ducked (pardon the pun) these questions.
I disagree with your last sentence. It's the classic moving target argument. He shouldn't have to address every nuanced incarnation of the rumors. He denied the ugly rumors, but he wasn't specific enough to address every possible unsubstantiated scenario. That's basically your argument...
I have been told by someone who lives and trains in Oregon but is not a part of NOP or UO that Centrowitz did meet with USADA recently and that quite a few people know about it, but that is the extent to which anyone who is allowed to talk knows about this matter. Anything more is just pure speculation.
Nope. My argument was that he ducked the question.
Question. Do you like watermelon? Answer. Strawberries are my favorite fruit.
Then all of his defenders say that he answered the question.
NO HE DID NOT.
Most yanks won't understand your comment.

Here's two: AJ Acosta and Ricky Simms. Now go back to your hole and stay there.
How about current teammates? AJ Acosta? Really?

Not one single person, who has identified themselves, has stood up for Centro. No one has posted about the "shameful" nature of this accusation on their own social media. When no one rushes to your support, you know you've done something bad.
There is some iron-clad logic. I guess a lot more of what I see on the cover of the National Enquirer and Weekly World News is true than I thought because I never see specific denials of all of those rumors. Ok, I've got to go track down bat boy because I know he's out there somewhere.

He did not deny anything. He did not dispel anything. He never directly addressed the doping allegations.

You take this nonsense way too seriously. Way more seriously than any rational being would.
Centrowitz seem to be taking it seriously enough to reply on his twitter. Why shouldn't his supporters?
A quick denial of this nonsense without further followup or response to requests for X, Y and Z does not seem to constitute taking it very seriously.
Basically, 'It's nonsense - don't waste my time'.
Big whoop-dee-doo.

Another total bullshit post. "I heard from someone who doesn't know anything that a meeting happened". The amount of lunacy on this thread is frightening.
If this person isn't a part of the NOP or UO, that leaves OTC or Schumacher's group. How either entity would know of an alleged, confidential meeting with USADA perplexes me. There was no such meeting.
But then again, on this thread we have seen someone posting under the name "Former Duck" who clearly wasn't the person he presented himself to be. On top of that, someone posted under Chris K.'s name that was not Chris K.
It is ridiculous that in today's age of sporting an athlete must issue an online denial in response to rumors that were concocted by anonymous parties without any sort of evidence or factual basis.
It is even more frustrating that when such a denial is issued, the wording of a 140 character Twitter message is analyzed in depth and discarded as a "non-denial denial".
We are so far beyond the hypothetical that it is hard to take anything on this thread seriously.
Like it or not, many influential people in track and field worldwide read this site - including race directors, agents, drug testing agents, sponsors, competitors, television commentators, coaches, etc. By remaining silent/vague on this issue Team Centro is casting further suspicion on this drug use issue. If you don't think this accusation is doing harm to Centro's reputation (read future earning potential), you are deluded. Someone with a close connection to Centro could have ended this days ago with a clear, convincing rebuttal to this accusation. If this accusation is completely false, someone with some clout needs to end it. Without anyone willing to go on record stating categorically that Matt is not under investigation for a drug use issue, like it or not, Centro is absolutely perceived to be guilty of something.

You are clearly someone who is extremely intelligent!
Malicious rumors don't require an impassioned rebuttal. They have already been dismissed as false. Even the Letrsun.com guys have labeled it a "false accusation".
"Absolutely perceived to be guilty"- you clearly have no concept of guilt. I suggest you actually research the concept of guilt before posting here again. You cannot be "perceived to be guilty". You can only be guilty, and this can only happen once you have been convicted of doing something by a trial court or judicial entity.
The question of Matthew's guilt is not even an issue, as no anti-doping agency is even investigating him.
Think before you continue to give life to lies.
"Team Centro" is not remaining silent / vague on the issue. Centro categorically denied the ugly rumors. That means that he denies everything. His agent, who I assume is "someone very close to him", says the story is completely fabricated. Thus, both parties deny everything. They are smart enough to deny everything at once instead of denying every specific allegation spewn about on this thread. Cause you know what would happen if they did that ? Some troll would come on here and say - well, he denied A, B, and C .. but maybe the issue is X, Y or Z and they didn't deny that - thus perpetuating this nonsense.

No. What is frightening is that some folks (you, for instance) take anything about this thread seriously enough to get worked up about it.
This thread is basically about solar powered helicopters or some shit. Now please get a clue
