...1 distance per day...how would you arrange it given the choice?
(I swear there is a point to this exercise.)
My choice would be, Monday to Sunday:
100m, 400m, 1500m, 60m, 200m, 800m, 3000m.

My choice would be, Monday to Sunday:
100m, 400m, 1500m, 60m, 200m, 800m, 3000m.
60 100 200 800 400 3000 1500
Clearly the 3000 should be at the end.
___, ___, ___, ___, ___, ___, 3000m
Personally, I would want a shorter day in between each longer day. That puts the 60/100/200 on the even numbered days.
4/8/15, .6/1/2, 4/8/15, .6/1/2, 4/8/15, .6/1/2, 3000
Furthermore, I would want the 200 between the 400 and 800, as I think running a 200/1500 or a 200/3000 combination would be too hard.
For symmetry purposes, let's go with this.
400, 200, 800, 100, 1500, 60, 3000
200, 1500, 100, 800, 60, 400, 3000.
800, 400, 60, 1500, 200, 100, 3000
1500, 200, 100, 800, 60, 400, 3000
800, 60 + 400, off, 1500, 100 + 200, off, 3000
3000m, 60m, 100m, 1500m, 400m, 200m, 800m
why does everyone have the 3000m as the last thing? Personally I find it much easier to "push" through shorter speed work when tired than the longer stuff, although I am more speed oriented.
if you were allowed to double up I would do
Day 1: 60m and 100m
Day 2: 200m and 400m
Day 3: 800m
Day 4: rest
Day 5: 1500m
Day 6: 3000m
That way you could still get in the recovery between the "longer" time trials. Most people should have no problems doing a 60m and 100m double. I know the question said one time trial per day but this is what I would rather do.
