i don't see why not im no expert at all but make sure to ease into it and that you give yourself time to recover the day after
I've personally overtrained while injured (doing cross training like you). Just makes you more depressed that you aren't running. I've learned a hard motherfu... fact of life: weather you like it or not, your body needs rest to get stronger.
