I'm about 5'9" 140lbs, so I'd say no. A lot of the other guys I run with are heavier than me and still run well. I'd say it is more about a low body fat %, but don't ask me for science to back up that theory because then I will have to use google.
You're certainly not huge, but you could probably stand to lose 15-20 lbs.
Get down to about 100 lbs and I won't consider you a fatty.

Start doing crossfit. You could become a chiseled 160# of lean beef.
The ratio generally accepted in 2lbs in weight per inch in height, so I would say you're not ridiculously heavy.

No, that's pretty normal for a runner. I'm 5'9" or 5'10" depending on when I get measured, and I've only been below 140 one time, when I was doing 100/week on singles. Otherwise I stabilize around 145. I managed to get up to 155 once through concerted effort. Oddly, I don't look much different at either end; the only difference I really noticed was that at the high 130s range I had difficulty keeping my pants up.
Yeah, diesel... Time to go on a diet.
