Hello there, I'd like to get on board too, better late than never.
I'm from Italy, training for my 3rd marathon, hoping to break 3hrs in April. I'm on Hansons advanced plan, which I slighly modified (intention is building longer MP run)...still need to be a believer...find the lack of long runs a little strange.
Anyway, last week was week #8/18.
Not as good as the previous two.
Mon - 7 easy @7:30
Tue - 3x1600m @5k pace w/400 jog rec - 5:38/40 (track)
Wed - 8.5 easy @7:45
Thu - 8 easy @7:40
Fri - 9.3 @ mp 6:38
Sat - rest
Sun - 11 easy @7:40
Total 55 miles
Not accostumed to 1600reps at 5k pace, they felt tougher than I imagined.
The following days I kind of developed a form of flu/cold and cough that made feel bad. So the tempo (marathon pace) last week felt tougher than previous week - which is not exactly a confidence builder :(
I do not like the idea of relying on products like "gels" for my marathon fueling strategy, so I am practicing during MP run with honey - so far so good.
Easy run of Sunday was just unpleasant, not feeling feel and still with the sunday meal bumping around in my stomach.
