goal Atlanta marathon sub 3.
** New goal. 18:00 5k in April**
m- 2 mile warm-up, drills and strides, 1.5 mile tempo, 3 minute standing recovery, 1.5 mile tempo, 2 mile cool down. 623 avg, then 614 avg. total 7@7:22. tempos were barefoot. felt just okay bc I had 3 solid days before this.
t-rest
w- 10 mile bike. 2 mile warm-up, drills & strides. 3 mile light tempo @ 655,655,650, 2 mile cool down, 7 total at 730. Felt meh.. Very cold and windy and legs were tight from biking.
th-10 mile bike
Friday-went dancing for 3 hours.
Saturday- legs were tired from last night and it was very windy but I still managed 19@ 713! I'm a happy clam.
Sunday- might do a light 5 miler.
total- 38+ cross training
note I do about 90 minutes of very light yoga every day for flexibility.
another great week for me. I think sub 3 in March is becoming much more likely, but what do you all think?
this upcoming week I'll make Mondays workout a continuous 3 mile tempo at 620. Saturday I'll go for 20@710.
