Seem to have irritated it after a longer/faster run than normal about two weeks ago. Didn't notice anything that day, but was tight in the mornings when I first got out of bed for the next few days. Went for a shorter run few days later felt fine; went for a longer run two days later and could feel it tightening up but finished 1 hr fine. Pretty sore arch after that.
Note: I think initially was due to heavily worn shoes. I have new ones now. For the first week my ankle felt really stiff as well probably due to the shoes.
The pain is on the inside of the foot where the top bony part of the foot meets the thicker tissue at the side. It is not at the heel or on the bottom of the foot. It hurts when I put pressure on that one region.
Is complete rest better? or any strengthening exercises?
