A joke is giving Pat Porter workouts for months...nobody ran like Pat Porter though. When he first started coaching guys he really didn't know what he was doing.

I was wondering the same thing. Seems like it would have to be injuries cus they wouldn't redshirt and put themselves in a bad position to not win nationals. If the posts on here are true that they already have mastersin out with injury then they have alot of injuries they are dealing with. Maybe thats "how they do it"
They have a tradition of winning, there is little to distract one from training when in Alamosa and they don't have the toughest academic standards, so a lot of people go there strictly to run.
Reid has stopped running training because of something with being gluten intolerant and having diabetes? Crazy stuff. Rumor around RMACs was that Florez quit the team.
Both of those rumors are completely wrong
anyone know why Gidabuday redshirted this season? he appears to have had the fitness to be one of their top 5.
Why don't you tell us what's right then?
At RMACs Reid told more than one person that is why he isn't running. Florez rumor I am not so confident in so that could be wrong. I don't know details of the two knee surgeries for Masterson but I am thinking he's probably done racing at the top level. The Adams lovers on here won't like that.
Adams State doesn't do anything special that other teams don't do. They just get top level recruits compared to everyone else in D2. Jen Michel, Gary Towne, and Jerry Baltes all are just as good at coaching as Damon Martin.
You say that as if you are familiar with all four of those coaches. You aren't. Because if you were, you wouldn't say what you just did.
What did you do before you coached teams to more national titles than just about anyone?
Oh wait, you probably don't even coach. Love how many experts are on this site critiquing coaches who accomplish more in one week than most of you accomplish in a lifetime.
To address the original question, my limited knowledge of them assumes it's a combination of tradition, coaching, and a very unique mindset.
Thanks for posting.
