Women should wear bun huggers.
Women should wear bun huggers.
I prefer to be judged by my performance, not by how my butt looks in underwear. That's not "underlying body issues", that's wanting respect in the sport, which is denied every single one of these woman and girls in those links, because basically none of those posts are about ability, only appearance. A race is not a beauty contest, but you wouldn't know that by reading much of this thread.
When I was in high school in Iowa in the early 90s, bunhuggers were virtually unheard of for girls' cross-country and track, until my senior year when a few schools started to wear them. We mocked them for wearing what we called "lollies" and we still kicked their bun-wearing butts. If bunhuggers made them better runners, they still weren't better than we shorts-wearers. So who cares what they wore or how they looked? The results don't, and I thought in a race it was the results that matter.

The bun huggers may be a bit too tight when you start seeing a little brown like in this photo

More bun huggers are needed.
Agree

I've noticed a lot of guys post links to pics of girls in bun huggers, saying they look hot. And yet the main reason why some women are reluctant to wear them is that they think they're unflattering.
This makes me think maybe runners who don't want to wear bun huggers have some underlying body image issues.
Are you really so much of a moron that you don't get the obvious lack of logic to this statement?

Nope, seems logical to me. Guys think girls in bun huggers are hot, girls don't. Straight ones, anyways.
More bun huggers

Natosha ran the BCS half marathon this past weekend. Sadly, she wasn't in huggers though.

So you're saying that girls should be okay wearing buns even if they don't like the way they look and feel in them because guys think they look hot?
I mean, that's one form of logic...

No, I'm saying that girls who don't want to wear buns because they think they look bad in them have body image issues because in fact guys think they look better in the briefs than they would in shorts. If they came onto this thread and read most f the guys' comments they'd be grateful for the buns and anxious not to have to run in shorts.

Orrr, they would be creeped out, envisioning a bunch of creepy guys who still live at home with mom sitting in front of their laptops wanking it to pictures of girls in bunhuggers.
