I live in NYC I always tell non-runners to try to run a city block(corner to corner along a typical NYC avenue) in 17 seconds.
Where is Larry Rawson when we need him?

Nothing about crossfit is impressive enough to call it x-fit.
You're douchebags to other douchebags within your community. Your competitive exercising is toxic and ruins many athletes and forces away many aspiring competitive exercising enthusiasts.
Froning is the "best" at it because nobody else is going to invest the time to be above average at exercising as a whole, most physically gifted people focus on a sport with real vested interest in it.
Yeah I agree. A sport needs to be totally badass to have the letter X in it. Like XC. Because XC runners are so badass, running up and down hills for somewhere between 5 and 10 kilometers, with SPIKES on our shoes. XC BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's awesome, except that they claim it's Hall running at his marathon pace, 4:46/mile. In other words, Boston 2011 pace. Shouldn't the kids be offered the chance to run along side him downhill, with a hurricane blowing behind them?

They could use his pace from his 2:06 in London instead. I'm sure the effect would be the same.
Is it just me or did anyone else's loin tingle a little bit watching Ryan Hall in that commercial?
Why would you think Hobby joggers would not appreciate the practical speed of a 5 minute mile? I currently run a marathon in the low 8 minute mile range...I TOTALLY understand how fast a 5 minute mile is. Get off your high horse and stop looking down your nose at people who are not as fast as you.

Blah blah. What's the point?
I would like to see Ryan Hall on a treadmill running Usain Bolts pace and see what happens? He'll be smashed against the wall.
Or see Ryan Hall try to attempt lift Fronings weights. He will probably break a few bones while trying that.
I'd like to see you run an 18 minute 5K.
Why do you tards always answer that x-gay idiot?

Great ad and so is the treadmill deal. In the airport commercial, Ryan says "Virtual Ryan" is faster so maybe they don't have everything calibrated exactly.

I disagree. Running began as a sport. It has since turned into an activity for exercise only. Crossfit uses only exercises and combines them to make a sport. I think you have got it backwards.
Running began as transportation.

Nothing he said indicated that he was on a high horse. You may understand what 5 minute pace is, but lots of other people don't. No one is sticking their nose up anyone.

It's funny that a new ad shows him running in the Hyperspeed, one of the greatest shoes of all time, which they discontinued in favor of ordinary crap.
the hyperspeed is coming back in 2014.

Treadmill automatically makes it easier. You don't have to deal with air resistance.
This.

Not sure this is really true.
And what do you mean by "hobby joggers" not having an appreciation for the practical speed of a sub 5 mile? I currently run a marathon in the low 8 minute mile range and TOTALLY understand how fast a 5 minute mile is. I am sure there are a lot of runners out there that view YOUR pace as a "Hobby jogger"
"What's your excuse?"

you mean "err resistance"
when you can't spell it undermines your massage
Treadmill makes it easier because the belt pulls you along so it's basically like you're jumping up and down the whole time

weightlifting is as much a sport as running. Crossfit sucks because of the "WE'RE BETTER THAN EVERYONE" attitude that paints even its POSE running style
