93% of the students at the school are Hispanic. Won't get any media play. Only when they can bash White kids will it suddenly be a vital topic.
Uhh, it's on the front page of every major news source... Looks like it's getting plenty of media play.
Yeah, it is getting huge media play

Are you suggesting the media does not love whites? How do you explain Jon Benet Ramsey and Natalie Halloway?
In other news, 10,000 deer were murdered this weekend.
When will it end?
As opposed to a GOOD school shooting?
Just another regular day in the gun loving land that is the USA. You want your guns, live with the consequences. Get used to it, this will not stop unless you do something about it. Children in schools will continue to get massacred because this country refuses even require background checks on gun purchasers.
background checks? in all likelihood the kid took the gun from an adult, its not like he bought it himself.
the true issue lies with bullying, our culture (no I don't mean videogames), and the state of mental health treatment

take blacks and hispanics away from the gun crime statistics and the USA is almost as low as Switzerland. Ban blacks not guns.
While I do not believe we should "ban blacks", you do have a point: the problem lies in the culture, not guns. At least someone here has some critical thinking skills.

easier said than done my friend
Right. The guy who said ban blacks has critical thinking skills.

Background checks need to include checks into medical history, depression, psychotropic meds, etc. The vast majority of these "kind" of shootings are done by people with a known history of mental illness (Va. Tech, Tucson, CT, Aurora, etc). It's a slippery slope, but I'm all for it.

I wonder if there are any statistics anywhere concerning the percentage of death by gunshot using guns that were purchased by individuals known at the time of purchase to be felons, have a history of mental illness, etc.

Have you ever considered the possibility that the problem might stem from... both? *gasp* Damn you, critical thinking!!
watching local news last night (CT)
this story comes on, they cover it for all of 90 seconds
20min later... "and this is bound to be the biggest story of the night...." somthing about safer hair replacement surgery for bald people
its like the plan is to numb americans to tragedy and murder
Thank God that God is there to lovingly support those that died and are suffering.
