I've posted before about having trouble eating "I'm never hungry" and I've been lifting for about 12 months consistently, not taking weeks off or anything. I've gotten stronger, a few LBS bigger, but most people would not notice the change. I know it's gotta be due to my insufficient calorie intake ...I just DON'T eat enough and i'm working on it.
Seems if I go to failure on a few exercises for a month, my ability to increase the weight is minimal / next to nothing.
Typical routine
day 1: back (pull)
-Pullups (3x8, widest grip, then normal grip)
-seated pullback(?): 3x10 about 100 lbs
-reverse flys: 3x12 at 12-15 lbs
-bicep curls basically to failure
day 2: chest (push)
-bench press (3x10) at about 135 lbs
or
-bench with free weights 3x10 @ 50 lbs
-flys
-tricep pull down
-dips 3x10
day 3 : shoulders / legs
-3x12 lunges / reverse lunges w/ 30 lbs free weights in hands
-3x15 leg press w/ 2 45's on each side.
-'back raises' 3x8 with 25 lbs held to chest
-overhead press 3x12 with 25 lb free weights
-15 lbs in each hand. raise hands out to sides (3x10)
-15 lbs in each hand, raise hands up out in front of you (3x10)
-70 lb kettlebell held @ waist, raise to chin (3x10)
