What a mistake he made, lying about being an American citizen so he could run for Kenya. Sounds like he was really proud of his new country, doesn't it?
Kenya made their decision.
I'm surprised no one has mentioned Sarah Baxter yet. She might not be a medal contender (it depends on how she develops in college) she could certainly make the team.
I'm surprised no one has mentioned Edward Cheserek yet...although he plateaued a bit in highschool, he did break 30min for the 10k off of ~50-60 miles per week (plus a variety of high school and course records). Just wait til AlSal has him doing 100 + 20 miles on the alter-G & 10 on the Hydroworx (and altitude training + sleeping in an altitude tent + form and sprint training)!
I'll also add a wild card prediction:
Lawi Lalang becomes a US citizen and wins two medals.

Did you recognize Arnold Schwarzenegger as an American governor?
Do you recognize John McCain as an American senator?
It'll be interesting to see if Lawi Lalang goes the same route as lagat and becomes a USA runner if so he'll be at his peak right around the 2020 Olympics.
Come on guys, Rupp will only be 34, that's never been too old to be a marathon contender.
In all seriousness, Lucas Verzbicas. Based on his tri-history, I think he will be experienced enough to win on that level

remember the name: Hunter Johnson Jr. 2048/2052 Summer Olympics.
I am 18 years old as of now and I already know that my son will be a Gold Medalist in either the 800m or 1500m, whichever it turns out he is more suited for. I plan on having a kid in 10 years so my son will be in his athletic prime for those 2 Summer Games. I am going to marry an East African (possibly Afro-Caribbean) woman and raise the child in either Boulder or Flagstaff for maximization of running potential. Im going full Marinovich on the boy but i'll be as cautious as possible to make sure it works out.
Jacob MF Thomson
Of course. Though after his comments today, I'm somewhat embarrassed to do so.. :-)
Not sure what this has to do with anything. Being born on an overseas US military base is hardly the same as being born in Kenya, as a native Kenyan, and competing for Kenya in the Olympics.

What about Sam Chelanga? He could go the same route.

This. It is crazy how long it took for her name to be even mentioned. You all are nuts! By that time she will have the aerobic endurance of 1000 warthogs. She will win gold in the 5000, 10000 and marathon and will be proclaimed the greatest of all time!
