Not sure who you are, or what this means.
Just don't try stealing my handle, which short for Larry Dhouga.

My guess is yes.
I've never set foot in this particular thread until this very moment, and I thought it curious that my unregistered handle had been hijacked here over the past couple of days. Then again, after recognizing Igy here as the same Shiller P/E shill who I sparred with in the Roth IRA thread, it all made sense.
Here's a tip, Igy: if you want to hijack someone's handle, at least spell it right. "Idbouga" is not quite the same as "Idhouga". As a CFP, you should know these things.
The real Igy publicly bid adieu to this thread months ago. His primary reason was that he, like you, had his handle stolen by the very troll with whom you conversed above. The fake Igy is no CFP as you should know after reading his ludicrous financial "advice."

Based on what data?
I come on to this thread and talk about my purchase of FANG stocks on the dip. Turns out I stepped into something else. Good thing I didn't listen to the nasayers, because I have done quite well. Hoping I can double in short order. I have found this investment game to be profitable.
What stocks should I add?
Hi, K5/Igy! You're again not spacing out your posts with different handles. There may be some here who still don't realize that you're the same person, but that won't last long if you don't wait longer between posts.
Have a nice day!
I assume you are talking to someone else.
I did well on FANG. Thought I would balance my high flyers with losers. I picked up positions in ACE. What is ACE? APC, CHK and ECA. Beaten down oil stocks. Down 30% so far this year.
ACE, I think that is the new FANG. At least a balance.
Am I diversified?
No, you're not diversified. You're the K5/Igy troll!
You are an odd one.
At least I'm not an anti-Semitic racist!
Strange response to a stock question. I will move on you are a little too weird.
If you really want weird, look in the mirror, K5/Igy.

Historical data ... see the history of U.S. Stock Markets.

Angry person. Uncalled for.
I posted this is a new thread but I figured I'd post it here as well:
I recently got on to Vanguard and allocated my IRA as follows:
$30k VTSAX
$10k VTIAX
$10k VBTLX
So I've got the 80/20 breakdown for stocks/bonds which I realize is fairly conservative. I'm only 30 but building a family. How does my allocation look overall? I'm shooting for a set it and forget it mentality while we sock away some more money into the IRA.

That's aggressive, not conservative. If you want "set it and forget it", try one of Vanguards target date funds. They'll rebalance for you as you age.
9% of VTSAX is AMZN, FB, MSFT, AAPL, and XOM
VBTLX has a duration of 8 years, so an interest rate move of 1% will have a + or - effect of about 8% on the principal

Now, stop that.

Good points.
Target date fund may be good depending on positioning. Some have pretty high equity allocations. May better off with initial allocation.
