I don't get it - I never see Flagpole's handle stolen, or coach d, or stuck, or ventolin, etc.
how do you steal a password protected handle?

Like this.
Letsrun posters...
...in what some of you might find ironic (I don't, but I know some of you will), I'm telling you that K5 has GOT to be the biggest troll ever...either that or he's just a raving idiot.
AND, I don't know why you would want to continue to converse with either a big troll OR a raving idiot.
He has proven to be racist, proven to have no idea about stocks or what the market might do, and yet you continue to entertain his lunacy.
Really best to stop engaging this guy. Seriously.
Should we keep engaging you?

This from a guy who won't risk $50k for a 25% chance to win a million and who thinks that when the market value of his holdings tanks it is a good thing. I mean, what can you say about such a genius

What you do to not worry about the market volatility is:
1) Emergency fund of 3-6 months of expenses.
2) Debt free but for a house with a reasonable mortgage or MAYBE a big student loan.
3) 15% of your income into stock mutual funds within retirement accounts...split this way...growth, growth and income, aggressive growth, international. Some bonds in there no sooner than age 35, and no later than within 10 years of retirement. 30-50% in bonds is goal in retirement UNLESS you have 2-3 years of liquid cash (cash, MMA account, etc.) to protect you if the market tanks (do this if you're 100% in stocks in your investments).
4) Pay off home early.
5) Invest in non-retirement mutual funds (this would be above and beyond the 15% going into retirement accounts).
You can flip flip #4 and #5 or do both at the same time.
Flag. You need to stfu. You are so incredibly stupid
K5: why don't you register your name?

He's also a millionaire. But I guess that doesn't make a difference.

As buffett says - you should hope the market goes down so you can buy more of what you have at a better price. The market in terms of PE is not terribly overvalued. I have 15% in cash now. IF the market continues to climb with respect to PE I'll take a little more off. One not be concerned with fluctuations in the market though - as long as you have some cash when it does go down (and it will go down) that is best way to position yourself. Yes, I am a millionaire too.

the problem with this logic is this: if you believe the market rises over time, why would you not be 100% invested? why play with this bit of market timing by peeling off 15% into cash?
over the long run you will wish you had been 100% invested, no?

Your calling others stupid, but you don't know how they're stealing your handle? That's hilarious.
My handle is registered. There is no possibility that the password could be guessed at. I really don't think that it is worth taking precautions beyond these. And I really don't care enough to think about the multitudinous ways one can steal another's handle.
So, yes they are stupid. And d-bags. And, it turns out, so are you for such an inane post.

An expected response. You do what you will. I'm HOPING that K5 is just a troll, because I don't want to believe there are enough people as racist and stupid as he seems to be who know how to use a computer. I'm not flat out calling him stupid (because that's not the Flagpole way) because I just HAVE to believe he's just a troll...pretty good one too because, well, look at this thread. The dude who made the wrong call on the Dow is the one driving the thread...screams troll to me.
INCORRECT! VERY solid advice I gave there.

SOLID advice. AND, not to criticize you (because I'm NOT...just responding because someone else pointed out that K5 is a millionaire, as if he really knows for sure), but being a millionaire today is not a big deal. It's SO not a big deal, that there are many millionaires out there who make big financial mistakes all the time.
Am I a millionaire? Not really anyone's business, so I won't answer...it should be painfully obvious though if any of you have done the math.
A gang of Orthodox Jewish men beat a Black man in Brooklyn while yelling anti-gay slurs on December 1st.
The victim is 22-year-old Taj Patterson, a fashion student at the New York City College of Technology. On Dec. 1, a group of nearly a dozen Orthodox Jewish men on neighborhood watch assaulted him on Flushing Avenue and Spencer Street.
Patterson said that the men had on uniform jackets and kicked and punched him while saying, “Stay down, f—t.” Patterson’s injuries include a broken eye socket, a torn retina, blood clotting and cuts and bruises to his knees and ankles.
“I was alone. I was an easy target. I’m Black. I’m gay. A whole slew of reasons,” Patterson said in one report. “[They] came up behind me, they grabbed me, they punched me in the face, kicked me down, knocked me out.”
An MTA bus driver saw the incident and pulled over to intervene. Patterson was treated at Woodhull Medical Center.
Here it is 2.5 weeks later and no arrests have been made

That wasn't me, Flaggy. My guess is it was K5 trolling with my handle. My bad for not registering. I will do so now.
...or maybe I won't.

This is the real K5 and I steal nobody's name. That is on one of many little people who pester me on this board. Or at least try to. Perhaps Agip?
