Sure, load up on more Hussman funds.
See where that gets you.
But don't time the market. And don't buy anything that actually appreciates.
So, yeah, Hussman most any time.

agip,
Funny, forgot that. The Troll will post “even a blind squirrel snags a few acorns.”
I get some Morgan Stanley stock in deferred comp this week. Plan to sell some and pay off that Cayman. I think MS is better than most, but like my general market view can be had again at lower prices.
Hope your running is going well.

It will drive even better after that last payment.
I'm getting car fever. Hearing about you driving a Cayman through the Sawtooths is not helping eh.
I'm sort of struggling in running...I was bulletproof, never injured until I hit around 52. Now it's constant management of injuries. I'm having trouble putting together consistent training. But I'm supplementing with other sports and feel in decent shape on just 3-4 days a week of running.
Hope you are doing better than me, runningwise.
agip,
Sorry to hear of the running challenges, but as you know comes with the sport. Some seem to be able to run every day post 60. That wasn’t me. What has worked best for me in recent years has been spin biking and swimming to replace running recovery days. I feel the best overall post chemo treatment, running or otherwise. So doing pretty well I think.

agip,
On the car, I have put 37k miles on it in 5.5 years. All mine. Some folks turn them into garage queens, styling on a weekend or holiday. Well when I was working I parked by the Capitol and had my front bumper tagged a couple of times. Also, one winter dirt clod with gravel splattered the roof and driver’s rear panel. Last ding was I took a corner too tight in the North End scraped the side of the lower passenger panel trim. In summary, using as a daily driver one has to relax about the possibility of usual wear and tear. Next spring I will take the car in and get all the exterior blemishes repaired.

Market went down hard the last few weeks and I lost $4k in net worth. Ugh. I even put in $600/mo. into investments and it's all gone just like that.
If you are new to investing, you will learn more by your mistakes. Of course that is true of most things outside investing.
Best wishes.

Thank you! I just put everything into the standard index funds because I know that I don't know the market and my FA said it's not worth it to get risky. I think it's just a bad downturn in the market.
Thanks for the good response!

You first mistake is assuming it was a mistake.
Markets go up and markets go down.
Were you investing for a short term profit or for long term stock appreciation?

Interesting on Bitcoin.

Ironically, that could support BTC being an actual currency, a store of value. If its volatility from trading shrinks to something like a real currency then it might attract long term holders. And not be a trading tool.

It means that transactions are moving away from BTC and towards other coins, possibly L2's on Ethereum and Solana as well.
Crypto is looking pretty good. Definitely gonna be a surge in Q4.
XLE is good and probably gonna go higher as all the economies ramp up, supply chains get back in sync to meet the backed up demand, etc.
Plus the US is gonna print another 1.5-3 trillion.
