Yes, of course. And I don't personally know Andrew Wheating or all the details of his situation, but I will say this: Injury or not, it has been FIVE YEARS since Andrew Wheating ran that 3:30 and actually looked like a world class runner. Injuries happen, but Wheating is supposed to be a professional. He runs for a living. Running for Nike, he has the best coaches and resources money can buy at the ready. And despite having tremendous talent, he hasn't been able to regain form in FIVE YEARS. Even the best can be sidelined by injuries and lose a season. But a young, talented guy like Wheating, running for Nike in Oregon? No excuses. If he had the heart of a champion he'd be back by now.
If your going to use Time to dampen his status. You should at least get the facts strait. He ran the 3:30 in the summer of 2010, it is the summer of 2013, so it was 3 years ago.
He is switching coaches, hopefully for the better. Maybe things will turn around
