Tadesse hasn't run better than 2 10 for the marathon
In this video he's talking about running sub 2 hour marathon. "Everything is possible if God shows up". Yeah right.
So my official new take on this whole thing is that Ryan Hall is out of his mind. Looking at it from another perspective, it also seems like he uses these super stretch goals as a way to motivate himself. However, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Why have a goal you know you'll never achieve and then be super upset when you don't hit it? Why not just set a more reasonable goal (like running 1:01:x for the half). That way when he hits it or comes close, he can take pride in reaching something he set out for. Dreams are an important part of goal setting, but a level head and clear thinking are too.
i'd love to see wanjiru run the 5000 in zurich. bets on a time?
Gonna have to go with a DNS.

The statement "Everything is possible if God shows up" is true.

So do millions of other Americans you retard. Joe Vigil, the greatest coach in America worships God. Do you think Vigil is a nutcase too?
Yes, if you believe in God you're a nutcase.
THIS WHOLE INTERVIEW WAS JUST AN AD FOR PACEBAND
ryan doesn't think he can run 59 flat. he just owns a paceband for a 59 flat half marathon because they're paying him to.
Hall knows damnn well that he cannot even approach 60:00 ever again. This was all for the product advertisement.
Ryan Hall, delusional as usual.

Elite psychology: Have huge goals and small disappointments. Lets say he trains like he is going to run 59, believing it everyday. Race day comes and he is "disappointed" with a 61:03. Still fast as balls, still top three in the USA, still makes a paycheck, and his life is STILL better than ours.
Remember how many poor post-grads are trying to run sub 65 right now before the OTs and things for Ryan Hall actually look amazing. He is a always a lock. But yes, he does live a little East of Eden.
See you on the roads (or probably not)

He takes thyroid hormone now like Rupp, works wonders.
why do you guys say things like that. first of all he's not doping! God gives him strength and if that is doping then im done with sports. and secondly he will run sub 59, probably very close to WR (maybe sub 58:30) very soon, i know it. when you live for God anythin is possible

It was a bit amusing when 'quartzite' appeared to take one of your posts seriously. So you get half credit for that.
Your posts themselves have been uniformly unfunny.

Religious people do unethical things.
Great to have high goals. But better to keep them to oneself and let the racing/results do the talking.
Otherwise, people will have the same expectations as Ryan and will be equally disappointed when he fails.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
