As the USADA statement on Lance pointed out, training at altitude makes it more difficult for the testers to detect taking EPO.

Well, I guess that is basicaly proof that everyone training at altitude anywhere is using it as a guise to mask their epo use.
Good work guys! They almost fooled us!

That was true for the test used at that time. It's not clear to me that it also applies to biological passport testing. There was also a study published in the literature recently for a new EPO urine test that is supposed to be much more sensitive than the existing test, though I don't know if it has made it into practice.

Yes, you're right, he would run 3:27 or higher. Very astute prediction.

The passport sets the scope and collectively provides a sequences for monitoring athletes. It measures:
- Red blood cells (RBC)
- Hematocrit (HCT)
- Hemoglobin (HGB)
- Offhr score (HGH-60√RET%)
- Reticulocytes (RET#)
- Reticulocytes percentage (RET%)
Altitude continues to affect the production of EPO and HGH. Athletes must provide documentation for any training done at altitude, including frequency of sleep tents, etc. The passport is more of a sensor to detect abnormalities that could indicate PED use. If an athletes has an abnormality, he or she enters a smaller focused testing pool and a WADA plan for identifying specific PEDs.

http://www.sportsscientists.com/2011/03/biological-passport-effective-fight-or.htmlThe Ethiopians are where? Training at altitude. The Kenyans are where? Training at altitude? Team Schumacher is where? Training at altitude. The Bahrainians are where? Training at altitude. The Qatarians are where? Training at altitude. The Eritreans are where? Training at altitude. Why no mention of them? But let's cut to the chase. Do you actually think Jordan Hasay is doping? Is Ritz doping? Is Erdmann doping? Is Centro doping? Is Cain doping? Is Moser doping? Let's hear the mighty "just sayin", who seems to know all. Be specific. Tell us who is and who isn't and the reasons for thinking so. You trade in innuendo--"oh, I'm just saying." Well here's your chance to deliver the goods.

Kind of like Radcliffe and her training in Albuquerque, which was the PED capital of the u.s.

After Tyson's positive absolutely nothing surprises me now. If there was one athlete in track I thought was clean it was him.

No, there is another.....
You know the reason altitude training messes with EPO testing is that it works? People train at altitude, doping or not, because it naturally increases EPO.

Mike Tyson ran track???
Can someone please explain why it's suspicious of Farah to complete preparation for Moscow at the nearby European High-Altitude Training Center?
WHERE IS RUPP GOING?????
Rupp attributes his high blood EPO levels to his "Tent" and "Arizona altitude"...even though a whistleblower found syringes labeled "Allergy Medicine" in the refrigerator. What PED needs to be refrigerated?? ...EPO.
“It's easier to fool people than to convince them that they have been fooled.”
And I'm obviously not calling out only Salazars group, it's everyone. St.Moritz, Eldoret, Flagstaff, Altitude tents do not boost hematocrit and Hemoglobin enough to the performance level shown by these athletes. Faith and spirituality, self belief, and dedication and very important. But human biology is Science. And science has shown tremendous promise, time and time again. So when you here that Ryan Hall, or Mo Farah just got back from altitude.. remember that EPO and many other designer PEDs are very much a reality in the sport.
