Do guys often get better quality wives (looks-wise) if they wait until closer to age 40 to marry?

I would add that a lot of girls who get married early and start a family start don't always age well. Partly because they end up sitting around the house in sweats with a bunch of kids. A lot of "older" women in high performing jobs who marry a bit later are usually able to put themselves together pretty well. So a 40 year old guy could snag himself a pretty hot chick in say her early 30s.

Agree with the guy who said it is different at the top of chain. Those chicks often have it together.

As a woman, I can tell you the truth. No woman wants to wait until she's closer to 40 to get married. No woman wants to get married to someone who's more than 5 years older than her unless she has daddy issues.

I guess what I am saying is that if you wait till 40, your choices are going to be limited in number and quality.

The only reason I married Hughie is he was a billionaire. So you better be a billionaire or a multi-millionaire if you want quality girls like me. Else you're gonna lead an unhappy life...

Actually, not all women are created equally. Some do want a man who is more than five years older; some want a man who is equal to their age.

This is the most truthful thing in this thread. I know so many women who married right out of college, were pregnant by 25 and put on a bunch of weight. I also agree that women who are more career minded and wait a little longer to get married often times define themselves in part by how good of shape they are in.

Obviously it's all personal preference. Oh, and if you're 40 and a guy and still not married (or at least seriously dating someone) you're considered creepy. No questions asked.

Why do I get the feeling that the majority of the posts saying "40yo single guys are creepy/losers" are coming from scorned middle-aged women? I know single guys from late 30's and up who are fit, successful, and do whatever the f they want on the weekends." I have never ever heard of any of these guys being referred to as creepy or losers, except by the LRC trolls, of course.

I only know at least 3 guys who are 40 and single (well one is 38) and I guarantee they pull more and hotter women than you ever have or will.

If you are 40, fit, fairly successful, and know what you are doing you can be absolutely unstoppable when it comes to women. Not everyone dreams of marriage and kids...

Da! This is why I am lucky to have shot putting love woman with me - I am skinny 40 year old distance runner and she loves me and I love her. Both sucessful and ready to take plunge in our 40's. And....we can buy lots of vodka. Da!
