16:40 5k. Not very impressive, but I did beat the group of pro women who were there, so I'll take it.
You beat the Ho's?
looked at 5 potential new houses.
painted one side of door.
painted ceiling in one room.
touch up paint on another door.
changed out 2 light bulbs.
moved boxes to truck.
all in all it has been a 4th of july work around the house p.r.
22:47 rolling 4 miler in the heat. Happy I gutted it out feeling terrible in the heat and humidity. Not so thrilled that is usually my half pace.
22:56 for 4. On s good day would have been closer to 22. Already mid 80s and humid at 8AM. Won free tickets to the zoo though!
5k cancelled for "weather" smh
15:30 5K, first race since an injury in late March ended my track season. got some fitness back in May/June, now gonna rock the next three months to prep for an early Oct half marathon. happy bday 'merica!!!
34:53 10k off of 4 hours of sleep. I'll take it for now
I'm the guy in second place behind Beckham.
I would have had him but he jumped the gun.
Not my result.
Seward, Alaska
Mt Marathon (3rd oldest foot race in USA: 86th Race Today)
3022 feet of climb (up/down roughly 3 miles total)
1. Eric Strabel 42:55 (breaking a 32 year old record held by Bill Spencer)
2. Rickey Gates 43:04 (also eclipsing Bill Spencer's record of 42:28)
3. Wiley Mangelsdorf 44:09 (7th fastest of all time)
Pretty amazing race up and down the Mountain today!
30 min tempo
14:03 for 5k
furious with this time. i consistently break 14 minutes all while banking 250k/year.
4:44 victory in my first road mile.
Puked before and after the race. Pickle-back shots to finish the long night before was not a wise choice.
My racing days are long over, but I'd like to extend my congrats to those who carry on the great tradition, especially my old friend Mike Anderson, who took an age group award at Peachtree.
By the way, those set to wondering by the gentleman's mention of the Alaskan race being the third oldest in America might be interested to know that the oldest is the Turkey Trot in my hometown, Buffalo. No. 2 is the Boston Marathon. Have a great holiday weekend and a good Summer of racing.

If the record was 42:28, then it wasn't broken.
33:08 for 5mi at 8,000' after four runs in the last 9 months.

Rolling 4M trail race in 25:47.
Been out for 8 months from injury and am a good 20 pounds overweight so I'm fairly satisfied with the time. Just running again feels good.
How old are you? I'm very impressed if you are packing on 20 pounds. I mean I way 20 pounds more than when I raced but i wouldn't say I'm 20 pounds overweight as I was probably at least 15 pounds underweight when racing.

"way"→weigh.

39:53 10k for 1st 60-64s. Sub-40:00 is good stuff at my age.
Very impressive. I'm hoping I can still run at all when I'm 60+, let alone blazing times like that.
17:42 5K. Not very good, but I'm only 12 days out from a 2:39 marathon and it was my 4th day back running.
