Twenty years ago, even out of state tuition was low at Arkansas. As a big time D1 coach, I know.
Yea, but a third rate education.

Best believe Cain and Baxter will get full ride offers from Oregon next year. Imagine if they both pick Oregon wow.

50/50 whether Cain goes the college route. And if she does, don't plan on her being around more than 2 yrs max.
2 years with Cain at Oregon would mean 4 NCAA Championships for Oregon. Got to figure she would score 20 points for Oregon each 2 years at Oregon. 2 indoor 2 outdoor.
Well obviously you have to get in those tougher schools. Not to mention those other schools can be insanely expensive (i.e. stanford or any of the ives). Of course a lot of those schools have a lot of non need based aid. Stanford for example waives tuition if your family is making less ~100k so you just have to pay room and board.

Several posters said no one gets a full ride to Oregon. So I guess this is a mute point, but: If you are good enough to run such outstanding times that you would get a track scholarship to a school with tough athletic standards (I'm assuming)as Oregon, why wouldn't you want to take these qualifications and go to another institution that may not have as challenging athletic standards but have a much more stellar academic reputation? In other words, always think of the value of your education first. You won't be running forever.
That is not the point

Mr.Flash,
What prompted you to reply to the 50 month old post?
. ..and what exactly is the point that Hollaback missed?
Thanks in advance
Lots of full rides freshman year, but then be prepared to be reduced big time. Just like a True Nike contract!

Or not.

Is Christian Brennan (Canadian) on a full ride? She will be a freshman this fall. She ran 52.1/23.4 for 400m/200m as a HS soph. Can't believe that she would turn down a full elsewhere just to go to Oregon as a sprinter (even with English Gardner's success).
What became of this person?

He went to Syracuse
Brennan transferred to LSU after her sophomore year.
