His athletes are getting great results. Why don't we hear much about him? It'll be interesting to see how Lalang does in Ostrava. I've heard he avoids "junk miles" and looks for quality and not quantity.

He's been interviewed and featured on flotrack many times. His athletes aren't American or American born at least. So nobody cares that much.
Your subject leaves everything open.
doesn't like?
doesn't get?
doesn't deserve?

1) Al Sal would probably be thrilled if he had less of letrun's attention.
2) If his current American star pupil Rupp also had a positive test that many believe Lagat only got out of because the B sample was delayed just like Marion did, he'd lose respect by association as well. (And he already gets unwanted attention in that area)
Because he is not a "Coach"
No chance that Lagat was taking EPO. Haven't we had it explained that the test (at the time) was hastily brought in. It was pretty bogus. No way Lagat or Li involved in that stuff.

Many? I didn't realize there were so many ignorant people.
Wait, no, just saw the guy who said he isn't a coach. Yep, I should've known the Letsrun cup floweth over with ignorant people.
Not American
His star athletes not American
Oh and this being LRC, race no doubt plays a factor

So LRC prefers Salazars 5 and 10 men to Li's milers?
Exactly how much attention do Salazar and Jerry get outside this website? LRC is not the real world.
Really? The star athlete of the James Li I know is American
I'll ask a different question.
Why DON'T top American athletes seek out Dr. Li? I can think of some like Robby and Webb that would see to fit the system.

Correct. Rupp gets all the hate because people don't dare to criticize anyone with a non-white skin color.
There was a time when the top US 1500 and good friend of Lagat's went to James Li and left after 6months of 50 mile weeks with average but unspectacular workouts.
At the time he couldn't understand how Lagat was racing fast.

That's not quite the full story if we're talking about the same guy. I remember something along the lines of thinking the training was "easy" at first, but after week after week of that training he was having a hard time holding up. Li's training isn't about one big workout, but lots of good consistent workouts strung together.

It's the full story he told me, albeit about ten years ago.
Why the secrecy? Who was it?
Yeah, who was that?

Actually it wasn't bogus. Every expert believes he got off by essentially cheating the system.

That's not true at all. Every expert knows that the initial sample was mishandled (stored at high heat). It's not that he was let off, the test was not valid.
