I have some long term training goals I'd like to achieve for the marathon, as in maybe around 8 or 9 years from now, or maybe longer. (I've only raced as long as 10K as of now) The McMillan Calculator seems pretty cool, but my question is: what is the time-frame for hitting these calculated training paces? I would think I shouldn't be trying to hit these paces right now. When you enter your current time and your goal time, it'll give you the same numbers regardless of whether you want to hit your goal time this season or several seasons later. How can I graduate this over several years? Thank you in advance.
