My school does not have XC so my summer training will progress straight into winter training. What are some good staple fall-winter workouts? I will be doing 2 workouts: 4x2000m and 6x1000m both with 2 min recovery in between sets. Just wondering what else I could do to help with endurance besides tempo runs and fartlek runs, or are these plenty enough. I do not intend to do both in one week. Haven't decided the time I will be running these workouts as I expect to get faster and times will change by then. Also I'm not sure if this helps, but I am a male upcoming junior.
