Moser vs. Cain in the 1500 final is going to be excellent.

gives me the chills to watch Cain, so damn good and still a teenager, damn.
So they closed in around 60 seconds.
Now the question is whether Can can handle the heats. Recovering and running the final is quite different from running just one race.
Can't wait to see how long the feed stays down this time when you get 3,000+ idiots trying to hit refresh at the same time instead of just letting the page sit still.

She ran World Juniors last year, remember. So I'd guess she'll be ready to go.
It didn't look like that took much out of her...I think she'll be fine.
Different level of competition. Can she run a 4:05 in the final if she needs to? That's the real question.

I think it's a very similar level of competition, actually. Remember she was racing against Kipyegon.
well uceny's prob not going to moscow - struggled to run 414. have see if she makes the final.
Yes.

Uceny is second fastest q and makes the final
Gabe Anderson, Shannon Rowbury, and Kerri Gallagher get the auto spots out of Heat 2. Time qualifiers shortly.
actually uceny qualified 7th fastest - but she got plain left behind in the last 150 - not a good sign.
stream still down, that's what, 10 and counting?
Uceny faded in the stretch. Comes down to Moser, Cain, Anderson, Rowbury (and Uceny as a dark horse).
USATF viewership peaked at the end of Heat 1 (about when Mary Cain crossed the finish line).

Or she's the smartest one out there and qualified without expending as much energy. You'll find out in the final.
Cain 2:05 for final 800, and that 300 to the finish was about 45 sec.

I don't know why she didn't just finish 3rd, but she was looking around keeping tabs on how many were passing her as she slowed down. Rather than running to the line I think she knew exactly where she stood, in particular since heat 1 was so slow. I think she is just fine.
