She looks so tired and old and she's only 21.

She has bad posture when she's standing still. All hunched over. Back problems waiting to happen.
Lolo Jones has the same problem.
So did Usain Bolt (scoliosis). But the difference is that Bolt has a coach who DID something about it (with weights).

Tired and old? You mean young and having the year of her life running wise?

The cure is Bikram Yoga.
NCAA coach detected
She'll be fine. While I do hope that she does well at USA Nationals if she didn't make the team it wouldn't be the end of the world because the girl definitely needs a break from racing. I wouldn't say she's burned out but she definitely needs a break. 2014 isn't a championship year so she'll have the chance to recover and also finally focus on one event and one season.
It would be nice if she did ever do World XC in the future.
How did the NCAA do this? Her coach entered her in events
Mary Cain's posture is worse.

Many (most?) world class track (not field) athletes seem to have rolled shoulders and they only seem to have good posture when running. Mostly this is distance runners but also includes some sprinters.
I don't think NCAA was a factor. Going pro or whatever would produce the same result. It's amusing to read coaches saying JH should work to 'develop her kick'. Not gonna happen. Once a carthorse....... She's talented but not elite - LR voyeurs just deal with it.
I remember the glory days when Hasay was tearing it up in high school and was anointed as the savior of female distance running in America...
You obviously are a child or have never ran seriously before. Running is a process, mind you? The girl is only 21 years old, away from the college scene, and will improve tremendously over the next six years.
Really? even though women usually peak earlier in athleticism than men? For most women, they see their fastest times between the ages of 16 and 22. Biology, early peaking, etc all take their toll on the female distance runner. Also, many women prioritize having children at some point in their mid 20s so they are less likely to be able to train for elite performances.

Really? No. Look up the world records and ages. NOT 16-22, dumb ass.
Sorry.
This is due to the fact she is too thin, which is obvious in that her face is hollow. I don't know why she has lost o\so much weight.
Yup. Having the year of her life. Reality: In order to win a race you have to see your opponent clearly. That's why you have a team to help you see what might be too up close for you to recognize.
The second step after acceptance is the get your mind healthy. Third step, train to win.
a white guy, eh? Figures...
Ok if she REALLY wanted to run as fast as she could she would cut her dang hair. That's the truth. She is going to look back on it one day like WTF was I thinking?
