223'2" for those like myself who had no idea what 68.16m meant.
I don't think this will be counted as a Collegiate Record. It has to have been a legal Track & Field Meet (10 events). It was set at the Claremont Hammer and Discus Elite Invitational. This is not a Track & Field Meet. It is a Field Event Exhibition (just like the Pole Vault Summit).
It is a big throw, but I don't think it will be certified as a Collegiate Record. It is like someone scoring 105 points in a Pre-Season Basketball game vs the German National Team. It is an exhibition. It is not an NCAA Basketball Game.

Track and Field News will include it as a record in this regard. Not remotely like a pre-season game -- a terrible comparison which would be appropriate if the measurement was the amount that he beat his opponent by.
The only issue for me is the use of a qualifying round of 3 throws, then a preliminary round of 3 and then final round of 3 for the top individuals. That provides nine opportunities rather than six and means that you can pay less attention to fouls etc.
Here is e. Garry Hill's comment:
"good news, Julian, since T&FN is the only real arbiter of Collegiate Records. We don't believe in bullshit like that arcane IAAF rule (also followed by USATF) which mandates number of events. If a marathon can stand alone, why can't a discus? (and this had more than one event)
we'll be calling it a CR."
