He finished in 27:38. Just never really seemed to have it, as he dropped when Bett made the move that Bekele covered resulting in that 62s lap.
ahhh .. that's what I get for trying to email and watch a race at the same time!
Thanks.

That was Bidan MF Karoki
Saarel would've closed in 54...

That makes more sense, good catch.

Ouch for Wheating. What is wrong with him? Seriously, 3:57? Unless he's been hurt thats pretty awful. He didnt even remotely contend for the win or have a good kick. Solid race for Bernie Montoya, he clearly has not been in sub 4 shape all year so 4:01 appeared to be a very good race for him
Wheating is actually in great shape...though starting to wonder if not running 800's is hurting his 1500/mile game.
He looks freaking asleep out there.

That was never anything other than a tactic to scare the weak and boy was it successful.
Seems like it.

And it worked on Farah didn't it A Duck?
It was weak for Rupp and Farah to have skipped that race. Rono beat Salazar while fat and hung over.

LEer 4th 3:56, Wheating, Torrence 5-6 in 4:57
You should be able to write the 5th placer in the Olympics name correctly: Its Henrik IngebrigTsen
he is on 22 years of age and will be a world beater in the
coming years. he races very intelligently and has a ferocious
kick. In 3years he can beat anyone on the world stage. anyone.

Sure, he is really talented both physically and mentally. Tactically he is better than many of the top guys, and if he gets in shape he'll be up there.
But, I think you overestimate his kick. When you race against slower guys, or the pace is slow and you are a tad back in the pack and with a far better PR in you than you actually have on paper an athletes kick can seem better than it is.
Its good, but remember the top guys do have 800m times 3-4 seconds better than him.
