How much is totally unknown. Sub 6 with some training would seem a lock. Beyond that is "who knows".

Since the only 13 year girls you'll find running faster than 7:20 are already XC, track or soccer athletes I'm curious how you can say that with such certainty about a completely untrained person. So lets rephrase the question. How much can a completely untrained person improve their running performance? I've seen freshman boys in high school XC go from 22:00 to sub 17 in 2 years so big gains are certainly possible.
