good Memorial Day weekend to everyone. I'm going to celebrate Monday by volunteering at a race.
Continued to take my PF comeback slow this week, with some progress (longest run up to 8 miles, ran consecutive days) and some regress (6 miles running partway home from work on harder surfaces thurs. caused problems; left piriformis strain returned). I think I need to stick to low mileage and the three TR's (track, trail, treadmill) for a while.
As part of staff appreciation week festivities, I won a free yoga class by doing 41 pushups. There was some sort of age grading in the standards, but I think I also need occupation grading. 41 for a 51-yo teacher = 200 for a 25-yo with a physically demanding job? All these years of lifting dry erase markers or chalk haven't done much for my upper body strength.
