It usually takes Lagat a few races to round into shape, too. He sucked at Penn the last time he ran. I'd give Centro the nod on the 1600m, put an actual 400m guy in there, run Wheating in the 1200m and Solomon in the 800m. That would leave Symmonds, another 400m guy, Sowinski, and Lagat for the second relay, which definitely ain't bad.
It's a good point. Why not get actual 400 runners in the DMR (there have to be guys on the bubble but not running in the 4x400 red or blue team who would love to race on this stage) and put Sowinski and Solomon each doing the 8 on two DMR teams?
Why not get Ashton Eaton? I don't care if he's not quite fast enough, that would be awesome. And everybody knows the 400 leg doesn't matter anyway.
I think the US will have two squads. That would account for the large relays pools.

Help a wussiewhipped guy out here...have the lineups been published?
Here: http://www.usatf.org/News/USA-vs--the-World-Relay-Assignments.aspxThough David Torrance is also scheduled to run at Payton Jordan, so he may have been replaced by German Fernandez.

Kenya looks good.
Eaton would run a 46 here so it wouldn't be to big deal time wise. Same forumla on the 1600 leg. Teams will all come together with 600 to go then the guy that didn't have to catch up with come the victor.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
