Clueless pacemakers caught finally.
Clueless pacemakers caught finally.
I'm surprised no no one posted this article about Tiki
http://www.runnersworld.com/elite-runners/leading-edge-souvenir-london
Or maybe I just missed it.
It says she runs over 150 miles/w with 2 ~45km runs @ 6:20 during every 4 week cycle. It more or less says all of this is done at 8500 feet.
Commentators talking about how many marathons the elites do per year and they don't mention Yuki Kawauchi?
10k split: 34:10
2:24 pace.
Slowed a lot.

Maybe they're talking about top guys?
2:08 marathoners are still "elite", but they aren't at the front of major marathons.
Yuki is in the class.
Fascinating insight from Jonathan Edwards: setting off bombs at the finish line of the Boston Marathon is "not in the spirit of the marathon." Thanks for clearing that up!
Eyebrows raised to the people interviewed saying they are running to "raise publicity" for the victims of the Boton bombs too. No, I hardly heard a thing about these bombs, if only there had been round the clock coverage of the story since it happened.
I'm about 2 miles from the start line and there's basically zero wind out there.

gilena the olympic champ went down. She's back in the pack now. She fell down at the olympics too.
The wheelchairs should never have been cutting through on the inside where the drink station was.
correct
she seemed ok surprisingly
here comes mo
farah in blue arm warmers!
Running into someone from behind is a DQ offense and they should DQ those athletes post haste to the extent that they can identify the offense. Of course, that the organizers have them going to the same aid stations on the same side of the road at a race of this caliber is surprising, to say the least.
I missed the fall. Did she get nailed by a chair???
As for the men's race? Is my BBC feed behind or what? It's 4:59 am and nothing yet.
interwebs guy wrote: she basically ran right into wchair. huh?
Nope, those behind are responsible for accidents. The wheelchair guy cut her off. She had the right away. Did he expect her not to take water at the stop? He goofed.
The runners and chairs hit the water stop at the same time. The ladies got there first. One reached over for her bottle, as a chair tried to go between the stop and the women runners.
