Really a formality at this point, but he just pulled out of the PGA Championships.
Last major was the '08 U.S. Open...he'll be 41 if he even plays next year...though it certainly looks like the sun has fully set on his golf career.

OP really nailed it. When he made the prediction, everyone was hyping Le Tigre. Amazing how things change. Now his prediction is the popular one and most likely 100% correct. He might win another, but it will be the same miracle as Jack winning in 1986. The only major he might win is The Masters, but only because the field at the Masters is the weakest of all the majors by design and their invitation system.
Bump for Tiger in the news.

Yeah, I didn't think he was done when this thread started, but I'd be surprised now if he ever won another.
How do you like his chances now?
He didn't win today, but he will win another major.

It's still likely that he never wins another major. In the 10 years since the last one he's had comebacks where he looks good for a while but he can never sustain them. That doesn't get easier in your 40s.
I doubted him and thought we wouldn't win another again but this comeback feels different...
He is doing some spectacular things and is really hitting it which I haven't seen from him since 2006. He's older but is swinging better than almost any time in his 30's. I think he'll win again. He's improved drastically over the last few weeks.
The TIGER is back baby!!!!!!!!!
Just in time for the Masters:

+3 through 12 holes...not the start he wanted.
Nice finish for Woods...+1 for the day and in the mix heading into round 2.
He's in danger of missing the cut.
The OP is hanging on by semantics.
Nike bonus estimate 12 million today for tiger. Good work Tiger. Tiger Woods, sharapova, Collin K , will lead the millennials through sports for the next t years.

Well, anyway, the prediction stands. Tiger is 0 for 5 since I made it and will be 0 for forever when the dust all settles.
Get ready. 10, 9, 8, 7.....
Oops! I guess he just won a major! Care to re-phrase that statement?
Should really have phased that "Tiger Woods will NEVER genuinely win another major".
Although I guess it's nice that we can be discussing this before the tournament should actually finished. Thanks to Augusta, USPGA, Nike for ensuring Tiger got his best chance and didn't have to play in the actual conditions he should have faced. Farce!
I haven’t posted in a year but as a huge tiger fan I’ve waited for this day. Go tiger!!
Bitter : poor loser: Never won anything. Likes to see people fail. Guess this is your cv .

So you were COMPLETELY WRONG. At least you had the guts to make a prediction--I rarely do.
So I genuinely hope that is some consolation for your being COMPLETELY WRONG about this one thing. At least you put yourself on the line, which is more than most of us can ever say.
